Riparian Forest

Essentially composed of trees and bushes aligned along the margins, the riparian strip is quite noticeable in the riverside landscape. However, parts of the riparian strip are now disappearing due to agricultural uses, urban development or forestry related activities. It is common to find alder, willow, birch, poplar and oak trees in riparian woodlands.
