Ribeiro do Rio Tinto (stream)

Important alluvium and colluvium deposits may be found where the stream comes to an end. The alluvium plains form part of the important Meixedo and Vila Mou mining camp where vestiges from more than a dozen separate mines have been found. It is on the right bank that the sedimentary deposits of Rasas and the aplo-pegmatite deposits of Cobalta are found, where the mining of tin and gold was carried out since the Romanization period until the 20th century.
