The farmed basin/valley of the Seixo river

The Seixo river with an extension of 2.7 km defines the border between the villages of Nogueira and Meixedo. The bottom of this basin area holds fertile soils layered over alluvium and colluvium deposits, ideal conditions for mid-hill farming, much of this soil being located between the places of Belêlo and Abriguiero. Annual crops are planted in a variety of different farming areas.
