Montaria Parish Church

A church from the sixteenth century built during a period when there was a shift in styles from Mannerism to Baroque. The church has one nave flanked with sacristies, symmetrically positioned.  The vertical lines of the central section stand out in this mannerist style front façade holding two pilasters crowned with pinnacles. A niche is found in the tympanum of the triangular pediment aligned with the main door, framed by pilasters and an entablature. There is also a large window crowned with a broken scroll pediment.
