Santo Isidoro Estate

Initially called “Casa de S. Salvador da Torre”, this particular wine estate was originally a manor house built in the 17th century, which was later renovated and expanded in the 19th century. The owners, Francisco Brandão, a nobleman from the casa d’El Rei, and his spouse Margarida D’Abreu received a papal bull from Pope Júlio II requesting the construction of chapel dedicated to Santo Isidro on the estate. The chapel still stands today.
